Save the dates 21st April and 16th May

It’s been a fantastic season with lots of new recruits, plenty of league points and a permanent home at CHS south. Our last training session will be Tuesday March 28th but there will be plenty of activities planned for the summer.

Looking back over the past year....

“Good luck with the remaining games, in true Moss Park spirit let’s work together and support each other to hopefully achieve some final wins and great goals. Thank you everyone for your hard work at training and commitment to matches. I hope you’re looking forward to our summer activities.”
Rachael Melvin, Club Captain.

“The 1s have had another fantastic season this year, we’re in control of the division with 2 games to go and pushing for promotion. It’s been brilliant to see our team come together and rise to the challenge with individual and team performances to be really proud of. Here’s hoping it all pays off and we can get ourselves over the finish line in that top spot!”
Ellie Freer, First team Captain

“The second team has had a season of change starting with a promotion to Division 4. With some strong opposition, we’ve had some losses but also some delicious wins and hopefully we’ll continue to get stronger.”
Sophie Frankland-Slater, Second team Captain

“The 3s have come a long way this year to be strong mid-table competitors. We’ve all developed as players, worked hard and shown amazing commitment at training and matches. It’s been a pleasure to captain such a positive and supportive team and I look forward to seeing what we can achieve next season.”
Eleanor Daniel, Third team Captain

The season is not over yet, so let’s see how many more points we can get over the next couple of weeks!

Summer Activities
There’s plenty of hockey happening over the summer. It’s a great opportunity to try a new position, get new players involved in games, and keep your fitness and skills up over the break.
1) Summer League should also make a return (May-July) at the Armitage. All players new and old welcome! Details to follow once it gets the go ahead. We will be submitting 3 teams (maximum 15 per squad) this year and will need captains for each team- if you would like to volunteer please get in touch with a committee member.
2) Timperley Vets Tournament no word yet on this but all over 35s keep your eyes on the club WhatsApp for information when we get it.
3) We will be doing the usual Rush and Back to Hockey sessions in August to ease us back into training again look out on WhatsApp nearer the time. If you know anyone who wants to give hockey a try then bring them along to have a go! We are always looking for new additions to the Moss Park family.
4) Bob’s Tournament is usually held in early September at the Armitage. Again more details to follow nearer the time. It’s always a really great opportunity to get back to playing full pitch games before the start of the 2023/24 season.

Aside from hockey, there will no doubt be weekend hikes, bike rides, theatre events...... Again keep up with WhatsApp groups for details.

Come on the Moss!
